SOUTHEASTERN FIBER PRODUCTS is privately owned enterprise located at Zone 3, Sta.Elena, Malinao, Albay, Philippines. Owned and managed by Mr. ROMEL C. CANICULA, who has been in the business for thirty three years of experience.
One of the company’s major product is the – Coco Geo-Nets / Textile out of coconut husks. It uses a BIO-ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY where coco fiber nets are installed in erosion or landslide-risk areas such as slopes, river and shorelines, mountain or mining rehabilitation. It has been proven that this geo-textile net is the most superior than any other geo jutes when applied as an erosion control system.
Coir being of natural organic matter retains water equivalent to its own weight, when laid it adheres to the surface allowing immediate control of the site. Alongside producing coco fiber, the 70% of the husk becomes coco peat or dust. This is another product of the company that is used as raw materials for producing organic fertilizer. In a recent study, coco peat is ideal for production of eco-plywood thereby serving as opportunity for more environmentally protected means of doing business.
COCO NETS
These are woven coco ropes with the aid of Weaving or Hand Loom Machines. Valiant Material for Bio-Engineering Projects, used for slope protection, soil erosion prevention, rehabilitation on damaged roads and mining. This coco net is bio-degradable, eco-friendly organic, harmless, economical and zero waste.
SINAMAY
Sinamay, also known as woven abaca fiber with glitters. This can used for interior decorations, flower arrangements and many other native products like purse, bags, placemats and alike. It has this quality that can be easily modified, dyed and stiffened, be weaved tight or loose according to your need or liking.
COCO PEAT
Coco peat is the powdery, earth colored by-product of processed coco husks. A multi-purpose growing Medium that provides new opportunities for potting mix suppliers, seedling nurseries, Hydroponic growers and golf green contractors. Definitely an organic fertilizer, soil conditioner, and may be used as animal bedding.
COCO ROPE
Coco rope, also known as coco yarn are twined or manually twisted coco coir / fiber. These are fiber extracted from the husk of coconut. A multi-purpose product that it is, we use can use it in cordage, packaging, bedding, floor / door mat and numerous other uses. Coir can also be used in growing horticultural products like mushrooms.
COCO LOGS
Coco logs are tube-like nylon netting, filled with coco fiber, tough material for holding water. It is best known for being a biodegradable erosion control material among many of its uses. It effectively hold seeds and allows deep rooting of plants as it can hold water. It can also be used with landscaping, roofing, and more.
COCO STICK
These are smaller version of coco logs, ideal for garden lovers and backyard agriculture. Coco sticks are specially designed for vines or creeping plants and ornaments such as orchids. This product is very eco-friendly and cost-effective, it can last up to 5 years and biodegrades.
COCO HUSK
Coconut husk, also known as coir, is a natural, renewable, and biodegradable material that is widely used for producing eco-friendly products. It is known for its high water-holding capacity, resistance to bacteria and fungi, and durability, making it an excellent choice for various applications. Its uses include soil amendment, erosion control, packaging material, and as a substrate for hydroponic gardening.
COCO BAGS
This coco bag product is intended for flood control for flood prone areas, river banks, and sea shores. We produce a variety of coco bags made of raw materials from coconut. The end product can endure heavy applications because of the natural structure of its material. You can choose from our finished products or we can customize it if you specially need something more specific.
COCO PADS
Coco pads are being known to be effective and sustainable alternative to its commercial counterpart. With its breathable composition it can be used as cushion for bedding, rag mat and insulator. It is not only organic and non-toxic but very durable and cost-effective.
COPRA
Copra is valued for the coconut oil extracted from it and for the resulting residue, coconut-oil cake, which is used mostly for livestock feed. Coconut oil is extracted after sun-drying the coconut. Its high oil and protein levels are fattening for stock including cattle, sheep and deer.
ABACA FIBER
Abaca fiber is made from the stalk of the Abaca plant. It is widely used in making ropes, woven fabrics and handmade crafts. It is stronger and doesn’t easily change it’s properties in rise or drop of temperatures opposite to nylon and other synthetic fibers. It is very versatile that it is used on paper and furniture industry.
ABACA ROPES
Abaca rope is one of the main product of abaca fiber. It’s durable, flexible and resistant to salt water damage, making it a material of choice in ship’s lines and fishing nets. Also, the rope has a natural decorative finish which is perfect for aesthetic purposes.
